New Director of Crux Youth Ministry

Meet Daniela Romano

You may have seen me around Mary, Seat of Wisdom or St. Paul of the Cross attending Mass, however, I am writing to introduce myself in a new role at MSW and SPC.  My name is Daniela Romano and I am excited to take on the role of Director of Crux Youth Minister for our parishes!  I am not new to Mary Seat, as I have been involved in the school/parish since I have been a teen myself.  In high school I worked at the Extended Day Program and upon graduating with a degree in education, I started teaching at the school.  I have taught Pre-Kindergarten, Third, Fourth, Sixth, and Eighth Grade at Mary Seat.  My husband, Lenny, and I have 4 children and they have all graduated from Mary Seat.  Mary Seat is a second home for us!  

I started volunteering for the Crux teen program when my daughter was a Sophomore in high school.  What began as a way to help out with a large youth group has grown into an incredible passion for me to connect with and spread the message of God’s love to the teens in our community!  I recently received my Masters in Applied Theology from the University of Mary in North Dakota.  I plan to stay involved in the school community by continuing to teach Eighth Grade Religion classes at MSW.  This year, you will notice an increase in activities, Masses, and Adoration led by our teens at St. Paul of the Cross.  Fr. James, Fr. Derek, and I are excited to bring our parishes together to serve teens at both locations.  I will also be expanding our Crux program to a Jr. Crux program, meeting with 6-8th graders in order to introduce our youth to the beauty of taking their faith into their own hands.  Through service and social fellowship, youth and teens of our parish will have the opportunity to foster virtuous friendships.  Through faith sharing, opportunities for prayer, and attending/leading mass and meetings together, teens will begin to recognize their own evangelizing power.  I am so excited to begin this new chapter of my life and cannot wait to work with the amazing youth and teens in our parish!  Look out for more announcements and information from me and our Crux community regarding small faith groups, service trips, retreats, parishwide adoration, and social events.  I also welcome adult volunteers who feel a tug at their hearts to help in this ministry.  Please contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots.
