Arrangements for the church need to be made at least six months in advance of the wedding date through the parish office. If you live out of state, arrangements should be made nine months in advance. It is advisable that before booking a location for your reception the date should be reserved on the church calendar.
The first step in reserving a date is to contact Madeleine McCoy with an inquiry e-mail. Please include the name of the Bride and Groom, the date(s) you are considering and request of the officiating Priest.

A Christian wedding should be characterized by dignity, reverence and joy. It is not only the solemn exchange of vows by an engaged couple, but it is also an act of worship in which the bride and groom, along with their family and friends, come together to offer thanks and praise and to ask God’s blessing on their life together as husband and wife. It follows, then, that it is a communal celebration; the guests are there not as mere spectators, but as worshippers. They should be drawn into active participation through prayer and song so that they may share more fully in this holy and happy occasion.

In striving to help couples create successful marriages, St. Paul of the Cross offers this marriage education and preparation program. The name is based on the Wedding Feast at Cana where Jesus performed his first public miracle, changing water into wine. Since “pre” means “before”, we help couples prepare for their personal wedding feast, as well as establish the foundation for a long, healthy, and happy marriage with as much, if not more, effort as they apply to planning their wedding day.

Wedding Coordinators are a group of volunteers who coordinate rehearsals and assist at wedding ceremonies. Usually two ministers team up to help with one wedding. They contact the couple to obtain information about the ceremony to help the rehearsal run smoothly. On the day of the wedding, ministers set up the church (kneelers, Unity Candle, etc.) and help everyone get organized and down the aisle.
