Congratulations on your engagement!

Getting Married at St. Paul of the Cross

Arrangements for the church need to be made at least six months in advance of the wedding date through the parish office. If you live out of state, arrangements should be made nine months in advance.

The first step in reserving a date is to contact our rectory office at 847-825-7605 or to complete the Wedding Information Form and submit it to our rectory office at 320 S. Washington, Park Ridge, IL 60068.

About the Sacrament

This union you will enter into is most sacred and most serious. Established by God, it will bind you together for life in a relationship so close and so intimate that it will profoundly affect your entire future. Our prayer and hope is that you will remember the centrality of the Sacrament as you make preparations for your wedding day.

Available Times

All wedding inquirees (parishioners or non-parishioners) can choose from the following times to reserve a wedding on a first-come, first-served basis.

Saturdays: 12:00 pm or 2:30 pm

Fridays: 1:00 pm or 4:00 pm

Weddings will not be performed Sunday through Thursday

Other Requirements for Non-Parishioners

  1. You must use one of our St. Paul of the Cross priests
  2. You must use our St. Paul of the Cross musicians

Please Note

  1. St. Paul of the Cross does not celebrate Mass, or other Sacraments, including weddings, in any language other than English. The pastors of this Vicariate have agreed that if certain parishes offer a certain ministry, the other parishes will not duplicate it.
  2. We do not allow animals to be a part of Wedding ceremonies.

Fees for Wedding Ceremony

A parishioner is someone who is registered with our parish and has been an active, contributing member for at least six months at the time of the initial wedding inquiry. In addition, the child of a registered parishioner is considered a parishioner. This information will be verified with our parish database. We welcome non-parishioners to join our parish. However, they will be expected to pay the non-parishioner church fee.

Parishioner: $600

Non-Parishioner: $800

This fee is for the Church. If you would like to give a personal gift to your priest or deacon who meets with you to complete your marriage preparation and celebrates your wedding, you are encouraged to do so directly.

Fees for Music

Organist/Consultant: $300

All Other Parish Musicians: $250 Each

Please visit our Music Requirements page to learn more.

  2. The visiting priest or deacon should send the letter of intent committing to do the necessary preparation and paperwork to St. Paul of the Cross as soon as possible. This includes preparing all documents and liturgy planning relative to the marriage.
