Welcoming A Refugee Family Of 4

In partnership with Exodus World Services, our Disciples in Mission (DIM) team recently engaged in another “Welcome to America Pack” with a family of 4 from Syria (Father, Mother, Daughter (20), Son (15)).

A team of volunteers shopped, delivered and arranged essential household items turning an empty apartment into a home for the newly-arrived refugee family.

Exodus World Service mobilizes the Christian community to welcome and befriend refugees by educating churches and individuals about the plight of refugees, connecting volunteers with refugees through practical service projects, and empowering people to be champions for refugees. https://exodusworldservice.org.

Disciples in Mission volunteers made up of O’Hare Neighborhood parish grouping that includes Immaculate Conception, Mary Seat of Wisdom, Our Lady of Hope, Our Lady of Ransom, St. Elizabeth of the Trinity, St. Juliana and St. Paul of the Cross.
