Disciples in Mission (DIM), in partnership with Exodus World Services continues to help refugee families as they begin their new lives in the United States. Through the group’s compassionate efforts, six (6) families from different corners of the world (Guatemala, Venezuela, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan, and the Democratic Republic of Congo) have received a warm welcome to the Chicagoland area. They were provided with essential “Welcome to America” packages filled with basic household necessities for the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms.
Because of the generosity of donors, volunteers, and church members alike, DIM is able to extend a helping hand, providing the necessities to transform an empty apartment to a home and give hope and a sense of community to these families.
