Adult Choir

Contact: Ed Eicker

The Adult Choir has been singing in the Upper Church for over fifty years. They are noted for having performed much of the best choral compositions written for the Church. Presently they sing at the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday and on major Holy Days. They are a very dedicated group of nearly fifty men and women who see singing in the choir as a real ministry to the parish. They rehearse on Thursday evenings in Duffin Hall from 7 to 9 p.m.

Contact: Pamela Olafsson  or  Tracy Kurc

This committee is responsible for decorating the upper church. The major decorating times are Lent, Easter, Thanksgiving, Advent, and Christmas. This committee is also responsible for the daily maintenance which includes changing the candles, altar cloth, and the Tabernacle vigil candle. The committee meets monthly September through June.

Children's Choir

Contact: Ed Eicker

The Children’s Choir is a great way for your child to actively participate in the liturgy! If your child is in grades 3 - 8 and enjoys singing, encourage him or her to join the choir. The Children’s Choir sings at one Mass each month from Sept. through May. Rehearsals are on Monday afternoons from 4 - 5 p.m. in Duffin Hall. If you have noticed that your child expresses an interest in singing, encourage him or her to join our children's choir.

Contemporary Choir

The Contemporary Choir sings at the 9 a.m. upstairs Mass on the first and third Sundays of the month from Sept. through May. This group offers a variety of contemporary music to enhance our worship. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 7 - 9 p.m.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Contact: Fr. Nicholas Cavallari

Eucharistic Ministers are laity who assist the "ordinary ministers" (those ordained, i.e., priests, deacons, bishops) to distribute the consecrated, precious Body and Blood of Christ at Mass. Training is offered approximately twice annually.

Lectors

Contact: Fr. Nicholas Cavallari

Lectors are "Ministers of the Word" who proclaim the word of God during Mass. They bring our sacred scripture to life, giving voice to God's word. Lectors proclaim the first and second readings and lead the congregation in the Prayers of the Faithful (general intercessions). Training is offered once annually.

Liturgy Committee

Contact: Deacon Andy Cameron

Liturgy Committee consists of parishioners who offer their time and talent to help ensure that the liturgies are beautiful, inspirational, and prayerful. We collaborate with the music staff and the Arts and Environment Committee to help in planning the music and decorating the church for the liturgical seasons and special Masses. At times, we also help develop themes for the liturgical seasons and serve as coordinators for special Masses.

Ushers

Contact: Stephen Bozek

Ushers serve our parish community by collecting offerings, assuring the comfort of parishioners at liturgies, coordinating the orderly reception of communion, and the distribution of bulletins. They are goodwill ambassadors who often are the first parish representative to interact with the congregation at church functions.
