CENTENNIAL VEGETABLE GARDEN

The garden is an extension of our food pantry, located at 239 Ridge Terrace. Its purpose is to grow and distribute fresh produce to our clients each month. Crops include carrots, radishes, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, peppers, squash, onions, potatoes, garlic, and assorted herbs.

There are 44, 4’ x 4’ raised beds available each spring for parishioners to grow vegetables to feed the hungry. The commitment includes planting, watering, weeding and harvesting and distributing April – October. All plants, seeds, instructions and support are provided. The cost is $30.00/box. Individuals looking for service opportunities, families, scouts, empty nesters and senior citizens are all welcome to participate. There are several garden tables for anyone uncomfortable with bending and stretching.
