Annual Mission Cooperation Second Collection

This weekend we welcome Fr. Peter Muojekwu from the Fada Pita Organization for the Archdiocesan annual Mission Cooperation Appeal. Fr. Peter is from the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi, Nigeria, and an alumnus of Catholic Theological Union, Chicago. He is currently a hospital chaplain.

Fada Pita Charity Organization operates in both Nigeria and America. They cater to the physically disabled and abandoned children, and they also promote programs for children and youth. The organization has been serving in Nigeria since 2002 and extended its services to the United States, with its headquarters in Chicago, since 2015. In the United States, they serve kids and youth by organizing a summer tennis program, an online Igbo course for Igbo kids, and a picnic and cultural day. In Nigeria, they offer materials such as wheelchairs, crutches, food, clothes, money, and more to the physically disabled and abandoned children. They appeal to our parishioners to be part of their mission.
