Catechesis Program Begins Soon!

Our Catechesis program will begin in the next few weeks and it will be fully remote. Some ask why do we need catechesis during a pandemic? This is something like asking why do we need to think/talk about our friends when we can’t see them? Friendship is all about staying in touch, growing in our knowledge and understanding of each other, and growing in our commitment and love. If we are honest with ourselves, we will admit that in this fast-paced world, even with the best of intentions, it is easy to lose track of friends. Jesus is our friend and more than that, He is the mystery in our lives. Jesus is the very reason we live, breath, and have hope.

The church holds the truths listed below as the key proclamation of Who Jesus is, what He did, and therefore, who we are and to Whom we belong and follow. The proclamation below can be read like a newspaper and put in recycling or it can be received as an invitation to participate in a friendship with God. To be in a friendship with God is to be in a friendship with the community of God, the body of Christ. This brings us back to our need for catechesis and worship. This friendship is not a solo act, and it takes a lifetime and more to grow in wisdom and faith about our friend Jesus.
