Sacred Heart Statue

Beautiful Flowers Surround the Sacred Heart of Jesus

The Sacred Heart of Jesus statue was moved from a hallway in our school and installed in front of the Kinane Center. Fr. Britto’s vision was to have an abundance of colorful annuals and perennials around it to display its beauty and to invite parishioners to stop by and reflect on the importance of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in our lives as Catholics.

Led by the Holy Spirit, parishioners, Kathy Jarousch and Kathy Petty designed the landscape incorporating the established plants and bushes. They enhanced the space by planting more grasses, cora bells, diervilla and honeysuckle bushes. They included an abundance of annuals in a variety of colors adding more beauty to the space. This was truly their labor of love for Fr. Britto and our parish. Please stop by to take in the beauty, and perhaps say a prayer.

Lord Jesus,

Let my heart never rest until it finds You, who are its center, its love, and its happiness.

By the wound in Your heart, please pardon the sins that I have committed whether out of malice or out of evil desires.

Place my weak heart in Your own divine heart, continually under Your protection and guidance, so that I may persevere in doing good and in fleeing evil until my last breath.

Amen.

-  Sr. Margaret Mary Alacoque, Franciscan of the Sacred Heart

The Sacred Heart of Jesus Welcomes Us All!

Article published August 19, 2020

After our successful "To Teach Who Christ Is" capital campaign, we wanted to do something to honor our benefactors. Instead of installing a plaque on a wall with all their names, we thought we could do something else. As a result, we have erected a beautiful marble statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in front of our Adoration Chapel and we beg the Lord to bless all those who contributed to this campaign. The statue is also an invitation to everyone to come to Him Who said in the Gospel of Matthew:

"Come to Me all you who are heavily burdened and I will give you rest!"
