Lay Ministry

Lay Ministry

Lay Ministry involves lay people (not ordained) serving the people of God through the Church.

They are not ordained but receive their call through the Sacraments of Initiation.

The term “Lay Minister” does not refer to one specific ministry.

Lay Ministers may serve the Church, with the Pastor’s authorization, in many areas of ecclesiology.
