Friendly Visitors

Friendly visitors are parishioners who are willing to visit with those who are homebound and would like someone to visit. If you or a loved one are homebound and would like a visitor, contact our Parish Nurse.

Ministers of Care

Contact: Parish Office

Ministers of Care are parishioners who are mandated through the Archdiocese to bring the Eucharist to shut-ins at home, in hospitals, and in nursing homes. There is an annual training program in the area for anyone who feels called to serve in this ministry.


If you are homebound and would like a Minister of Care to bring Communion to your home please contact the parish office and leave a message for Kathy Bulger.

Parish Nurse Program

Linda Burk, R.N.B.S. is our parish nurse and comes to us through the Resurrection Parish Nurse program. She is concerned with prevention of disease and promoting good health. Linda can be reached at (847) 692-6727 during her office hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.


Services Include:

  • Hospital and nursing home visits
  • Home visits and evaluations
  • Nutritional counseling
  • Assistance with medicine management

Transportation

FISH is a local agency that has been serving residents of Maine Towneship (Park Ridge, Des Plaines, Niles, NW Edge of Chicago) since 1971 providing transportation for medical needs. There is no charge or obligation to recipients.
