Children's Choir

Does your child like to sing?

If so, consider enrolling your son or daughter in the St. Paul of the Cross Children’s Choir.

The choir will offer many benefits to your child. To begin, it will encourage your child to take on a more active role in the liturgy. Active participation in the choir will not only teach your child to sing correctly, but will also foster a deeper understanding of Catholic liturgy, and music’s important role in the Mass. Studies even suggest that children who participate in school music programs get better grades and develop a stronger self-image.

The main function of the children’s choir is to provide music for the 4:30 p.m. Saturday Masses in Holy Family Chapel and the upper church. Occasionally, the choir may also sing for special liturgies, (i.e. Confirmation, Christmas Eve, etc.).

The children’s choir rehearses on Monday afternoons in Duffin Hall from 4-5 p.m.

St. Paul of the Cross Mission Statement: As children of God, living in a Catholic community of faith, we are united by the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Aware that all we have is gift and grace from our Heavenly Father, we strive to give of our time, talent and treasure to build His kingdom on earth. We live this mission, challenged by the Word, nurtured by the Sacraments, and enlivened by the Spirit, to serve our brothers and sisters in peace, justice and dignity. All are welcome on this journey.
