Nationally nearly 20 people per minute are abused by their partner. In Illinois, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of abuse. The USCCB has written a pastoral response for women when they call for help. Domestic violence of any kind, is never justified and should not be tolerated in any situation.
