The DRE has the responsibility for direction and formation of the parish catechetical staff (catechists, coordinators, assistants, aides ) in accordance with policies and guidlines for religious education in the Archdiocese of Chicago. The DRE is a full member of the parish pastoral staff and participates in staff meetings and organizes and administrates the catechetical program for children in grades preschool through 8th attending public school and organizes the sacraments for both children attending public school and St. Paul School.
